November 16-- Message from GGRW President

The November meeting of the Greater Gwinnett Republican Women was held at the Home of Delphina Byrd in Hamilton Mill.  At that meeting, an election was held for officers of the club for 2006.  Elected by acclimation was the following slate:  Tegwen Beaudreau, President elect; Delphina Byrd, Vice President elect,; Peg Murray, Secretary elect and Sara Snyder will remain the group’s treasurer.  Congratulations to the new officers.

Following the election outgoing President, Peg Murray presented new president, Tegwen Beaudreau with the honorary straw hat decorated with peaches.  For the GGRW it’s the symbol of the presidency of the club.  In addition, Ms. Murray presented the club with the certificate and diamond pin awarded the club by the National Fderation of Republican Women.  “this diamond award,” said Ms. Murray, “is a tribute to this club’s energy, volunteer service and overall excellence.  This is a group award for which we all should be proud.”  Ms. Murray accepted the award on behalf of the Club at an award’s ceremony at the biennial convention of the Georgia Federation of Republican Women.  GGRW;s treasurer, Sara Snyder, was elected secretary of the State organization.

The next meeting of GGRW will be December 12 at the home of Tommie Miller and will serve as the Christmas Party and investirure of officers.  Directions will come in a week or two.
